Not another age chart
Age charts say “about two hours”. Your baby says otherwise.
Age-based wake-window charts give an average for babies your child’s age. Sleep Gem starts there, then watches what actually happens: how long each nap lasts, how fast your baby settles, how the night went. Within a few days the schedule belongs to your baby, not the average.
- Per nap, not per day. The first nap of the day and the last are different problems. Each gets its own window.
- Recent days weigh more. Growth spurts, teething and transitions are caught early instead of averaged away.
- Honest when unsure. While it is still learning a nap, it says so, and leans on age-appropriate defaults.
In our backtests over 251,000 real nap decisions, personalised timing beat a fixed age-band table at every age we measured, and the gap widened through toddlerhood. See the evidence.
